Coronavirus Update 17th March 2020: Course and clubhouse open
CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 ADVISORY
As a leisure venue, the owners at Scarthingwell Golf Course take the health of our members and staff very seriously and as a business we wish to let you know that we are monitoring and acting on the ongoing advice given by the Government with regard to the containment of Coronavirus (Covid-19).
As an open air venue, the golf course will remain open in line with current Government advice. We will continue to monitor all available information and act accordingly.
We have already taken action by relocating the reception area back to the main entrance two weeks early to allow those wishing to play but not enter the bar area the opportunity to do so. We have also installed outdoor seating and refreshment provision outside of the reception area. We are also providing extra hand sanitising gel, tissues and dedicated yellow bins, which are available in areas of the clubhouse and reception. In addition to our regular cleaning regime, we now sanitise hard surfaces wherever possible throughout the clubhouse a minimum four times a day.
Golf is a great sport for people to get outside, exercise and enjoy fresh air. We would politely ask all members and visitors to follow the guidelines set out by the NHS and the Government. Thank you for your co-operation. Please continue to enjoy your golf and the facilities that we provide.
